My Boyfriend is Type-B
Year: 2005
Directed and Written by: Choi Seok Won
Studio: KD Media (Korea)
Genre: Romantic Comedy
Main Casts: Lee Dong Gun (Young-bin) | Han Ji Hye (Ha-mi)

Synopsis:
"My
boyfriend is type-B" stars two young celebrities Lee Dong-geon, who
gained enormous popularity from female fans through his performance in
the Seoul Broadcasting System's soap, "Lovers in Paris," and Han Ji-hye
who played a partner of Lee in the Korea Broadcasting System's soap,
"18 Year-Old Bride."
It
brings to the surface trendy issues among youth such as character tests
and the prejudices of blood type "B" men, and develops fun episodes
featuring the young stars. Lee Dong-gun plays a B-type young
businessman, who puts high priority in looking stylish; although he
lives in sweat-rooms (Jjimjilbang), he insists on driving a sports car.
This movie is the only Romantic Comedy that can bring such a varied
audience, from teenagers to the elderly.
He's
the type of guy who leaves his girlfriend in his car so that he doesn't
have to pay the on-street parking fee. His idea of a gift is a
walkie-talkie set, so he can reach her at his convenience as quickly as
possible. He shops for what he wants first, but makes her pay. Then he
drives her crazy by asking her ever so innocently, "Should we break it
off, then?" He might be a jerk, and she might be a patsy for staying
with him.
But
that's because he has blood type B and she's type A, according to
Chae-yeong (Shin-ee), a dating consultant in the movie "My boyfriend is
type-B."
A
strong believer in the blood type theory, which says that one's blood
type determines one's personality, Chae-yeong goes on with her wacky
logic about how blood type can have an effect on a person's love life.
Her point is that a type-B male is conceited, stubborn and absolutely
useless as a boyfriend, especially when the female is timid and
obedient, like Ha-mi (Han Ji-hye), who has blood type A.
The
film, is a typical love story about two very different young people
finding out slowly that they are actually in love. But the director,
Choi Seok-won, introduces actor Lee Dong-geon as a romantic macho type
(he doesn't want to be told what to do but still sings a love serenade
to his girlfriend), while using the recent blood-type craze to develop
the film's whimsical plot.

I think...
It
was rumored that LDG and HJY is real sweethearts ^-^ Such a romantic
comedy movie. They are really match perfectly.. I like the story as
well as the casts. The first scene that was shown in the movie was
Young-bin's playing basketball with his friends.. ohh, I didn't know he
played basketball.. lol! I should know that because he's so tall..
hihihi.. ^-^ Ha-mi's friends are very weird but they have their own
style, that's what her friends said in the movie.
Anyway, if you haven't watch this movie yet.. you better watch it because it's really cool.. ^_^
